Help!I’m looking for my mum – Aladin Sani

Austria-based pseudo-Hausa singer, Sani Anyebe popularly known as Aaladin has revealed that his mother, Madam Salimetu Amode, has been missing for several years now, with no traces of her whereabouts.

‘We have been looking for her for about three years now’, he confessed. ‘We’ve combed everywhere we can think of, but can’t find any traces. I just hope someone will be able to come out and give us useful information’.

The singer describes Madam Salimetu as a 54 year-old mother-of-two that hails from Agojeju-Onicha-igo in Ifu LGA, Kogi state. She developed a strange illness that lingered for over 30 years, which deprived her of spending time with her kids.

“She is about 5ft 8″ tall, dark in complexion. She speaks Igala and a bit of broken English. My dilemma is that I can’t say much about her because I never really knew her. We really did not grow up with her because she was sick for a very long time. I met her about three times in my adult life. We cannot even lay hands on a picture of her because she has been ill for many years and never allowed her photograph to be taken,” explains the Austrian based singer who is at wit’s end over the disappearance of his mother and is relentless in his search for her.

Aaladin, who is not deterred by the lack of any photograph that could aid the search Madam Salimotu Amode is  hopeful that his solicitation for support from friends and fans and the media would proove productive in finding his mother.

While the singer is making plans to return to Nigeria in a bid to quicken the search for Madam Salimetu, he implores anyone with useful information that could lead to her whereabouts to contact him via email address looking4salimetu@yahoo.com. He also requests that everyone-especially residents in Kogi – should be in the lookout for anyone who fits her description in their neighborhood.
