He’s the artiste formerly known as Dr. Fresh

Fresh, rap’s self proclaimed heavyweight champion, who was formerly known as Dr Fresh, has stated that his name change was as a result of his need to re-brand himself and repackage his music to suit the ever evolving trend in Hiphop music. 

“The music industry all over the world is going through a revolutionary change, and so has my music. I am bouncing back with a fresh sound and a fresh style, ready for a fresh start in the industry” says Fresh who has resurfaces into the Nigerian music scene after a three year hiatus.

The Abia state native that has churned out hits like Wazobia Vibez and Osho Bam Bam was last heard from in 2005 on “Heavyweight Champion” featuring R&B superstar, Tuface Idibia, and although fans and critics may consider his re-emergence as a comeback, Fresh insists that he never left. “In the past three years of seeming silence, I have been in and out of the country, touring Europe, other African countries and sealing international deals with the help of White&Black Sisters Incorporated, my Italy based management company,” he says.

While wrapping-up recordings of his third album titled 2 Much Money, a single off the album titled Sexy(Nothing Do You) is already receiving rave reviews from Nigerian fans who have long awaited his ‘return.’. 2 Much Money will be released under his independently owned Fresh-Side Entertainment, with the support of his management, White&Black Sisters Incorporated.
