Nigeria’s Jubilee Anniversary is around the corner and 4956 Ltd hopes to produce the world’s largest mosaic flag for Nigeria 50th Independence ceremony.

In order to achieve this, a selected group of people across the  country will contribute one yard of green or white fabric for the assembling of the mosaic flag.

The flag, when completed, will be unveiled on the 23rd of September in the presence of representatives from the Guinness Book of World Records.

“The  objectives are to celebrate Nigeria in a unique way, recreating the consciousness of unison, love, charity and hope among the Nigerian people” says  Alayande Stephen, spokesperson for the project.

2face Idibia, Banky W, Asa and M.I are some of the artistes billed to perform at the groundbreaking event.

Wouldn’t it be cool to have Nigeria in the Guinness book of world records for creative arts…outside 419 and cyber – crime, that is?

Asa signs biggest Brand endorsement deal in Nigerian Showbiz history

Although the gist isn’t official…yet…words from reliable sources suggests that World-acclaimed soul singer, has signed a mouth watering deal with new telecoms giant, Etisalat.

The deal which will span over two years will see soul singer, Asa, bearing the Etisalat flag as Brand Ambassador. Sources say that the brand endorsement deal will make Asa N200m richer!!

As Brand Ambassador, Asa is expected to do a TVC for Etisalat which would be launched first quarter of 2009!!! She will also embark on several brand promotional campaigns across the country during the 2-year period.

if this figures are correct, her endorsement with Etisalet makes her the highest payed artiste for brand endorsement in Nigeria. congratulations are in order!
