Outstanding: repackaged and set to explode

The thirty minute personality profile/interview programme that celebrates outstanding personalities from all spheres of human endeavour – tagged Outstanding – will be making its comeback next quarter. You would recall that the programme ran for a quarter in 2007 on Silverbird Television (STV), before its producers yanked it off air for repackaging.

According to a press statement, the programme’s producers, Buckwyld Media and Enchante Affairs, stated that the decision to repackage was informed by the need to re-emerge with something distinctly different from what was obtainable in the realm of television talk shows.

“The repackaged Outstanding will continue in its tradition of celebrating outstanding personalities, using their stories to inspire, motivate, entertain and provide positive role models for youths across the country. However, our personalities will not be restricted to celebrities alone. It also includes the everyday-man or woman that have distinguished themselves one way or another, through dedication to duty and service to humanity,” says the programme’s anchor person, Eno Ogah.

Outstanding, according to the producers, will be making a comeback next quarter both on satellite and terrestrial platforms. They revealed that they have sealed a deal with HiTV to broadcast the programme through one of their platforms. The producers are also working on plans to syndicate the programme on a couple of terrestrial stations across Nigeria.

Outstanding is a joint production by Eno Ogah’s media outfit, Enchante Affairs and Buckwyld Media Network -producers of Entertainment Extra on Nigeria’s 24hr music and lifestyle channel, Nigezie.
