Terrry Tha Rapman Repackages Album.. Leaves November Records

Nigeria’s rap sensation, Terry Tha Rapman a.k.a Joe Spasm, whose one-year, one-album recording contract with November Records recently expired, plans to release repackaged materials of his album titled Tha Rapman Beginz under his independently owned Mega Phunk Records. his one-year, one-album recording contract with November Records recently expired  terry plans to release his repackaged materials under his independently owned MegaPhunk Records.

According to Terry, the repackaged album will contain all of the songs in the current release -except the bonus tracks – as well as four brand new songs that includes a song titled Sample which aptly contains sampled materials from Ekwe – the monster dancehall hit by Stereoman. Trends gathered that Terry’s decision to repackage The Rapman Beginz was because of his dissatisfaction with the marketing and promotions by November Records.

Terry, who was nominated for the two most reputable rap categories of the Hiphop World Awards ’08 for Best Rap Album and Lyricist on the Roll revealed also that he working on a Mixtape project tagged The Joe Spasm Mixtape that will be hosted by two of Nigeria’s finest deejays, DJ Humility and DJ Jimmy Jatt.  With seven songs already recorded for the mixtape, Terry revealed that the project’s aim was to shed more light on his rap alter ego, Joe Spasm.

“Terry Tha Rapman is a gifted Nigerian with superior skills. He is not just a rapper but an Emcee who addresses issues as it relates to the society. Joe Spazm, one the other hand is the darker one that says whatever he likes however he likes irrespective of who you are. He just doesn’t care, “explains the Kano State born, Nassarawa native who started rapping professionally as far back as 1991.

Tha Rapman Beginz (repackaged) and The Joe Spasm Mixtape is scheduled for release in the second quarter of the year.
