Kiss Music Launches: Black Solo Debuts

After weeks of speculations, and intense anxiety, Kiss Music, has finally been born. With the official release, last week, of debut materials from Black Solo, Street Disciple and NBX, Kiss Music, the latest baby of Howie T and Dipo Abdul, has officially joined the list of fledging record labels in the landscape of modern Nigerian music.

With structured Artistes and Repertoire department, recording studio, international affiliations, as well as a solid music distribution arrangement, the duo is now confident in their ability to make musical dreams come alive, as they are committed towards nurturing aspiring artistes into successful international musical icons.

“This is something we have been looking at doing for a while. We were just waiting for the right time. Now, we think the time is [right]. We believe in talents, and we hope Nigerians will support these new [talents] we are pushing, like they have supported our talents in the past,” says Howie T who has received accolades for jump-starting the musical careers of R&B superstars, P-Square.

With well-placed structures, Kiss group officially launches the label arm of the company, Kiss Music, with the release of the debut album of their Premiere act, Black Solo. Black solo’s debut album tagged ‘My Shine’, already boasts of a smash single Friday Nite that has been rocked airwaves since July 2007.

Other materials expected from Kiss music include the first full album from NBX, Street Disciple, and the immensely talented Deudomarians (made up of the young Chief Felix Ofonime Okon and Dominic Francis Essien) which will also be unveiled later in the year.
