Spraying Money Parties should not be banned – King Sunny Ade

The on-going campaign against spraying of money at parties as endorsed by the central bank of Nigeria hasn’t augured well with many who believe that ‘spraying’ is Nigeria’s way of life and part of her culture. Heading a protest to ensure that the federal government reviews the new law against spraying of money at parties is veteran Juju singer, King Sunny Ade

Otunba Sunday Adegeye a.k.a. King Sunny Ade (KSA), stated at a press conference that spraying was a culture that had been in existence as far back as the cowries’ era and should not be discouraged. He however stated that he was against those who abuse the currency by either squeezing or trampling on it.

He expressed his disappointed with the central bank of Nigeria, for citing musicians’ abuse of money as reason for enforcing such a law stating that no musician would allow money fall to the ground for fear of people stealing them. He also stated that if government is sincere about enforcing the new law, they should look elsewhere as musicians are the best keepers of the currency.
