Colossal Entertainment Signs New Group

Despite the bitter end of a four year relationship between record label, Colossal Entertainment and protégée, Soul E, the label have dusted off the dirt and signed on three new musical talents! In a released statement, the record label says it is undeterred by the court case and is going on to provide a platform for young and talented Nigerians to showcase their skills.

You would recall that Collossal Entertainment and Naija Hiphop artiste, Soul E parted ways last year after the latter abruptly walked out of his recording contract with the label. The ensuing battle – since the label insisted on retaining the rights the brand name ‘Soul – left Colossal badly scarred. However they’ve moved on, by signing a trio called ‘Hold Something’, (HST for short).

HST which started out as a Festac based group known as Hot Ice is made up of Godfrey Eromosele Aire, Osalumese Emovon and Akinwale Afolabi. The group encourages fans to hold on strong to something they believe in. “As for HST, we’ll never stop holding on to what we love most: music” says group member Akinwale Afolabi who sites Plantashion Boiz and 2face Idibia as one of their major early influences.
