P-square -Africa's biggest act?
Nigeria’s phenomenal r&b duo, p-square are staging a huge concert at Asaba, Delta State featuring international rap star Busta Rhymes
I gathered that the duo had intended to bring U.S based Senegalese sensation, Akon instead but decided to save “the Akon show” for a concert they also plan to stage in Bayelsa State later in the year. Their decision to “bring” Busta Rhymes, I gathered, was not only influenced by the rapper’s outstanding performance during his last outing in Nigeria but also his growing mass appeal in the Delta State area.
“Buster Rymes will be able to communicate better at this show. We went on a tour in East Africa and people were asking us to tell them about the situation in the Niger Delta. They always ask us what we are doing about the problems in the Niger Delta. It is really disturbing. It is not like what you people see on TV. Out there, they believe that once any white person arrives at the airport, kidnappers will pick him up.” said the duo in a recent media interview.
In other words, these concerts are strategically held to help clear the nasty impression being created by the foreign media about the safety of foreigners in the Niger delta area.
Other acts billed for the event scheduled for the 30th of September include Banky W, Timaya, AY, Alaye from the UK, Black Solo and 2shotz.
you would recall that P Square’s last concert in Asaba sold out and with the inclusion of Busta Rhymes in the already hot line-up, one can only image what the turn out is gonna look like!
Arguably Africa’s biggest act P-Square have recorded sold out concerts in over 17 african countries. P-square hopes that one day, their music would penetrate into nothern African countries like Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria after which they believe that their conquest of all Africa will be complete.

Ur duo act is one of the few quality act this country of ours has produced in a long time. Ever since heard U for the first time last year(2008) I cannot seem to quench the thirst for Ur style of music. Keep up the good work.
